Full Access Truck Tool Box Features - Exterior
3/4” Stainless Steel
Pivot Pin""3/4” Stainless Steel Pivot Pin

This heavy, large surface-area pin isn’t cheap but plain steel is not an option here. The 3/4” diameter pin in combination with its bronze bearings will last a life time.

Drill Point Centering Holes (Exterior)""Drill Point Centering Holes (Exterior)

Conical indents have been added to facilitate mounting of the tool box. The instructions will tell you which hole to use for your particular rack. These indents are aligned with holes in the heavy- walled mounting area on the inside of the box. All you have to do is drill through approximately 1/16 of aluminum to “break into” the hole behind. Two of the holes are placed to accommodate toolbox hangers for mounting with System One Racks and the other is placed for use with toolbox legs for mounting with other racks. The mounting holes used with legs have been placed so that when they are installed, you should have more than 48” between them to accommodate sheet goods like plywood or sheetrock.
Oversized Latch Handle""Oversized Latch Handle

We didn’t mind putting a lot of design effort into a tough latch mechanism since that’s where so many other truck boxes fail. The first thing that we realized was that we needed a really big, useful handle. It had to be sized for a large hand with a glove on it, as opposed to the undersized paddle or t-handle mechanisms seen so often elsewhere.
Double Sided KeyHow often have you had trouble remembering which way the key is supposed to go in? We chose these locks above other weather proof locks because they use a double sided key that fits in either way. Another convenient, user-friendly feature.

Unlocked Symbols""See at a glance whether your box is locked or unlocked – simple, uncomplicated and convenient.
17.5 Degree Angle""An esthetically pleasing angle in keeping with today’s truck cab styling, it also matches the 17.5 degree angle of System One racks. Matching the truck’s cab angle results in a pleasing, contiguous look as opposed to the rectangular profiles that appear boxy and antiquated. Furthermore, the large, graceful radius that serves as the transition from the front to the top adds significantly to the strength of the box.
.100 Bright Diamond Plate AluminumThere is no substitute for material thickness. We use .100" diamond plate aluminum. It's more expensive than .063 (1/16”), .080 material but if you want the strength you have to spend more money. The upside, of course, is that in the end, you’ll get the benefit of years of additional service. Any truck tool box made with .100" aluminum is a cut above the rest. Ask about the thickness of competitor’s truck boxes … usually they don’t want to say.
